Atlas has survived a painful past, but he still has so much love and life to share. Rescued with severe injuries believed to be from being used as a bait dog, he has healed and is ready for a future filled with care, adventure, and belonging.
Today, Atlas is an energetic, playful boy who loves having something to do. He is fully trained and knows all basic commands. He's looking for an experienced adopter who enjoys an active lifestyle and will continue the structure and training that help him thrive.
He spent several weeks in professional training and stole is trainer's heart along the way. For adopters in the Miami/FT Lauderdale area, his trainer has offered free on going training for life. He plays very well with other dogs in a controlled, supervised setting. As always, proper and slow intros to resident dogs are required.
Life With Atlas
Atlas needs daily exercise, mental enrichment, and clear, consistent boundaries. A pit bull experienced family is preferred for this sweet boy. He can get mouthy when excited, so his family should be comfortable helping him practice calmer play and good manners.
His Ideal Home:
• An active, experienced adopter committed to continue working/training with him and providing daily exercise.
• A consistent routine with time for exercise, learning, and rest. (He loves praise and making you proud).
• No dog parks
